Summary/Abstract: The proposed text interprets a paper by N. Russev in which he examines fibulae dated to the Late Antiquity. As the fibulae have been taken out of the historical context and are therefore unusable in spite of the rich data on them, the present paper makes a brief excursus to the political and military acts during the Late Antiquity and their connection to the dissemination of the fibulae. The regions in which the different types of fibulae were spread, the “white spots” and the pathways for the penetration of the fibulae concentrated along the roads through which the Goths penetrated Thrace, and the places where they were produced locally. It is pointed out that these productions were concentrated at the foothills of the Balkan Range.
