"Charlotte Sibi" or the success of a French competition in Iasi

Summary/Abstract: This article describes the origin, the creation and the evident development of the competition: „Charlotte Sibi – knowledge of France and of French language”. This competition, inaugurated by a local, francophone organization, in order to encourage and motivate students to learn French language, became in just a few years, a successful event in the Moldavian region, which is historically and culturally speaking, a francophone one.
