Summary/Abstract: The paper puts questions on some not enough studied aspects of Drinov’s life, scientific and didactic activities. The first group of them concerns Russian scientists – both historians and specialists in Slavonic studies, and also people, who are far from science. Many of them are well known as researchers but the contacts among them and Drinov are not fully studied. This group includes Drinov’s teachers, colleagues, students and friends since 1860-ties up to his death in 1906 and a little bit later. Next follow questions about the relations between Drinov and Palausov and Palausov’s relatives before and after the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878. The third part comments the attitudes between Drinov and Sofia University (established in1888) and also with Bulgarian scientists. At last a new and not studied yet aspect is to try to understand more about Drinov as a human being: his interests in music, painting, sculpture architecture, etc. The author dears hope that those are part of the further ways to appreciate better his role in the development of science as a whole, Slavonic and Bulgarian studies, not less in European life.
