Summary/Abstract: The author presents the echoes of the Russian scientific and culturel li-fe in the Hungarian press between 1780 and 1815. The readers of this study can know the newspapers of this epoch as Magyar Hírmondó, Magyar Ku-rír, Magyar Könyv-ház, Mindenes Gyűjtemény and others and the author presents the writers of the articles publishing in these newspapers presen-ting the results of the Russian cultural life. The study deals first of all with the activity of Miklós Pataky, János Molnár, József Péczeli and István Sán-dor beacause they popularized the Russian culture in Hungary. The author tries to present what the Hungarian reader could know about the Academy of Sciences of Petersburg, the intellectuel and cultural life in Russia, the University of Moscow established in 1755 and about the re-forms of Catherine II and Alexander I.
