Summary/Abstract: In this work we present the results of implementing a new educational system type simulator in a sensitive area, where the practice is quite difficult to realize- neonatology. Neonatology is the latest branch of medicine, drawn from pediatrics that deals with newborn care. High-fidelity simulation is an effective tool in teaching neonatal resuscitation skills to professionals. In this paper we present our experience in medical examining staff using a high fidelity simulator. For the first time in Romania, at the beginning of 2016 a team of medical bioengineering together with teachers from discipline Neonatology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" Iasi, introduces a new practical test within examination for obtaining the title of specialist in neonatology - practical test on the simulator.
