Summary/Abstract: In this article the translation methods of the literature of one of the most popular Croatian writers in Poland, Vedrana Rudan is shown. Today, translation focuses on the culture which receives a translation, so in this case, Polish culture, language, as well as the Polish reception of Croatian literature are key factors. Vedrana Rudan’s writing, which includes swearwords, the breaking of sexual taboos, also hides many literary allusions and is a challenge for Polish translators.
