There are many possibilities to spend a holiday in the Central Region. The most important and the demanded types of tourism in the region are: the leisure and relax tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism, balneary tourism, business tourism, sport tourism, rural tourism, and agro tourism. The aim of the present work is to identify the main touristic resources in the Central Region and the adequate types of tourism that can be turned to good account. Mention should also be made about the possibility to outline new directions for the development of the existing types of tourism and their promotion at national and international level.
