Summary/Abstract: In general terms, health care efficiency measurements refer to the improvement of the performance of health insurance systems. Under these circumstances, over time, the focus has been set on finding the optimal financing mechanisms, thus ignoring the actual performance and results of the various medical approaches since „[health related] efficiency indicators are more difficult to determine because of the heterogeneous and mostly unquantifiable effects of health expenditure”.
