Summary/Abstract: Personality development is a process that is influenced by many environmental, social and cultural factors that have taken place throughout human life. In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale for determining the effect of school open spaces on personality development of high school youth. In the 2014- 2015 academic year, the research population consists of 700 students in 6 high schools located in the Ortahisar District of Trabzon (300 for the preliminary study and 400 for the Likert scale). Analysis of the data was made with SPSS 21.0 Program and it was worked with 95% confidence. Explicit Factor Analysis and Cronbach's test were performed to determine the validity and reliability of the scales in the study. In the study, the relationship between the attitude towards the adequacy of the school garden, the attitude towards the activities in the school garden, and the attitude scores for the school gardening / attitudes were analyzed by Pearson Correlation test and the difference of attitude scores according to individual variables was analyzed by t test and one way variance test . In case of ANOVA end result difference, binary comparisons were made with Tukey Test. Scale; 12 items with a factor load of between 0.313 and 0.363, 5 items with a factor load of between 0.690 and 0.803, and 5 items with a factor load of between 0.690 and 0.729.
