Summary/Abstract: Archives play an important role in the realization of the human right to information. Their role is irreplaceable. Bosnia and Herzegovina and the weight on this issue follow the developed countries of the world and fulfill obligations under international conventions. Archive of Republika Srpska is aware of the importance of this issue, because it is normative and legislated this issue, and every day tries to implement the normatives in practice. All this, of course, contributes to raising the reputation and character of this institution and the entire archival profession.
