Summary/Abstract: Scientific problem of valuable conceptions of the seafarers’ self-management strategies in conditions of the psychological terror is discussed in the article. The research type is theoretically descriptive. Methods of analysis, meta-, extrapolative and heuristic analysis, classification, systemization and synthesis of the scientific data of valuable conceptions of the seafarers’ self-management strategies in conditions of the psychological terror are used in the research. Importance of valuable ideals of the personal culture for a self-management in conditions of the psychological terror, and valuable content of the self-development of the seafarer’s professional vocation, and valuable directions of the constructive self-management strategies are revealed. The scientific research is methodologically based on the STCW convention, the paradigm of universal upbringing, idealism, humanism, existentialism and existential phenomenology. The valuable spirit of the convention is important for a modelling of the seafarers’ self-management strategies. The paradigm of universal upbringing highlights the self-development of self-management competencies of integral personality. Idealism refers to the enrichment of personality. Ideals stimulate the dinamogenic feelings. It is important at the axiological level of the maritime affairs. Humanism helps to perceive the personal value and create the self-management strategies in regard to reality of the psychological terror and freedom. Existentialism promotes the socio-humanitarian maritime education overcome the tragedy of existence. Existential phenomenology helps to create the strategies of unique personality regarding to its value, and authentic relationship with oneself and social reality. Valuable ideals of the personality culture are significant for the creation of his / her dinamogenic feelings, ability of the selfmanagement in difficult situation and psychological terror, and self-development of the seafarers’ professional vocation, their philosophical and psychological professional training. A perception of the mission and noble sense of life help people strategically overcome the psychological terror. The valuable content of the self-development of the seafarer’s professional vocation consists of the mature professional romanticism, which is characterized by the psychotherapy. Seafarers note the experience of their self-esteem, and honestly and responsibly perform the work. They appreciate a wide range of the salary, including health, finance, ethics, quality and creativity. A close relationship between the seafarers’ training and system of the higher education is important. Studies of the seafarer’s professional vocation and strategies of the selfmanagement in conditions of the psychological terror are relevant for the work and creation of mentioned strategies. The integral system of valuable directions of the constructive selfmanagement strategies is revealed. This system helps to perceive the expression and creation of the social relationship at the cognitive, ontological, anthropological and phenomenological levels, and contributes to a better understanding of themselves. Seafarers can more successfully work in extreme conditions, integrate oneself into the ship-crew and survive. They must understand the psychological terror as an aim but not a cause, difference of the phenomenon and its interpretation, main motives of the action of the psychological terror, and strategy of transformation of the valuable approach.
