Summary/Abstract: The situation with women's entrepreneurship is analyzed in the given scientific paper. Special emphasis is put on the one of the main obstacles to women, the mentality of the inhabitants in our country. The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of women's entrepreneurship in Moldova, the motives of the occurrence of women in business, the specific needs of women entrepreneurs and others that will enrich the theoretical knowledge and provide the scientific basis for the implementation of social and economic gender policy in the business.
