Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses issues related to the modelling of business processes. Firstly, we describe business processes and process management concepts, especially process modelling. Secondly, the essence of process modelling using BPMN notation is presented. Thirdly, in the empirical part of the paper, we propound an universal model of business processes for online shops. The paper concludes with a discussion of research findings and future works.
