Summary/Abstract: The article considers the role of wholesale market in ensuring Russian food safety. The meaning and components of wholesaling are analyzed. The necessity of further development of wholesaling is stipulated. Foreign experience of wholesale companies’ operation is analyzed. New approaches to the development of the wholesaling branch of the Russian agricultural complex are proposed. Recommendations on implementing the wholesaling system in the activity of domestic entrepreneurship are given.
