Summary/Abstract: The Gaudium et Spes Constitution names a lot of rights and duties of a humanperson. They have emphasized the constant teaching of the Church on the interdependency ofrights and duties. This paper poses a question about the possible influence of the Constitutionon the formulation of the rights and duties of the faithful which were laid down in the Code ofCanon Law. This influence can be noticed, in particular, in the ideological layer of the unshakeable conviction of the Church about the interdependency of rights and duties, in the possibility of limiting the rights and, to a lesser degree, in the relation to specific formulations of the rights and duties, which stems from the diversity of the addressees of both documents.
