Summary/Abstract: One of the outstanding authors of the 19th century of Russian literature Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin, became popular with his satirical and Aescope style book "Fairy Tales for Elderly Kids". While depicting the injustice in the society in his tales, he saw no change or even worsening in the conditions of Russian peasants in the hands of a land owners after 1861 reforms and stressed the need for the public to come together to change the current social order, which he found as the culprit for such unfavorable conditions. He invited every section of the society to be good, fair, decent, conscience and honest.
