Summary/Abstract: Argentina’s Constitution of 1853 introduced a presidential system of government. In this system, executive power is exercised by the president of the Republic of Argentina who is elected by general and direct elections. The president is the head of state and heads the federal administration. An additional organ of executive power since1994, is the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
