Summary/Abstract: Orhan Burian established journal of Yeni Ufuklar that began to be published in 1952. Yeni Ufuklar that continued edition life until 1976 includes many articles, essays, poems, stories and translations about literature, art, idea, education, economy and society. Sabahattin Eyuboğlu and Vedat Günyol were the most important writers in magazines staff. Moreover Halikarnas Balıkçısı, Azra Erhat, Gülten Kazgan, Haydar Kazgan, Talip Apaydın, Melih Cevdet Anday, Ceyhun Atuf Kansu, Fakir Baykurt, Fethi Naci, Mina Urgan, Hilmi Yavuz, Cavit Orhan Tütengil, Attila İlhan, Samim Kacagöz and M. Başaran wrote about most of the topics. Yeni Ufuklar had been published for 275 issues until 1975. It was particularly underscored literary subject. However, mental and social subjects were also intensely examined. At this point westernization, intellectual, The Blue Anatolian, humanism, existentialism, planning, land reform, urbanization, labor problems, population growth from mental and social aspects were evaluated by authors. According to Yeni Ufuklar, western mentality that was supported by mind and science must be utterly taken by society and state. At the same time, inventive and contentious intellectual type must be created.
