Summary/Abstract: For centuries, the natural laws have beenthe source of human creativity. Recently, simulation ofthe animal life and behavior as the algorithms havebeen studied in the optimization problems. In thisarticle, an evolutionary algorithm was proposed todiagnosis a challenging disease which deals withseveral factors. The proposed algorithm was developedaccording to the honeybee reproduction cycle (HBRC)to create the fuzzy decision rules in an acuteappendicitis diagnostic system. In this article thus, theuseful clinical factors available in the first hours of thepain were explored and the diagnosis knowledge wasdiscovered using an evolutionary algorithm in a Fuzzyrulebased system. The optimization process in thealgorithm decreases the chance of local optima incomparison with other techniques such as geneticalgorithms. Experimental results showed that theproposed algorithm improves considerably theoptimization performance in the diagnostic problem.
