Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the connotative potential of the perceptions of Russia, reflected in modern Russian poetry. Here are partly reflected stereotyped perceptions, patriotic or pseudo-patriotic views, but at the same time also some of the connotations particular mainly for poetic speech. Special attention is paid to such ideologemes in the assessment of Russia by poets as “unknowableness” and predestination, Russia as the native land (with its ambivalent assessment), Russia and the West, Russia and the Power, and the Future of Russia, Russia in anticipation of change.
