Summary/Abstract: The article is aimed to determine the methods for the reflection of the event „sanctions against Russia” from the point of view of cognitive linguistics. The examples of the actual material taken from different Internet-resources give a good opportunity to research three main constituent elements (eventive, evaluative and emotive) of the emotional-eventive concept. The formation of the social object «sanctions against Russia” is based on different binary oppositions, where the binary opposi¬tion „self–other” is dominating.
