Summary/Abstract: Agritourism is becoming an increasingly important sector of tourism. It is both a contemporary and a traditional form of tourism that is rooted in the local tradition and based on geographical features, traditions,culture and customs, and as such allows for the preservation and revitalization of rural areas. The research was conducted in the region of Slavonia and Baranja, i.e. Osijek-Baranja and Vukovar-Sirmium County with the aim of identifying and analyzing the existing offer of agritourism farms, levels of formal and informal education of employees at those farms, and highlighting the importance of their association. Agritourism is developed according to the principles of sustainable development; it promotes rural areas, natural, cultural and historic resources and indigenous traditions, and as such can contribute to the development of the entire region of Slavonia and Baranja.
