Summary/Abstract: This study is part of the broader scientific examination of existing artifacts held in the permanent exhibitions or in museum storage in Walachia and which are known to the scientific milieu up to the present. This analysis focused on two battle axes dated to the second half of the first millennium AD and owned by the Roşiorii de Vede Museum, Teleorman County. One of these unpublished objects is originally from Albeşti village (Vedea commune, Teleorman County) and the second one from an unknown location (possibly in the proximity of Roşiorii de Vede) which was in the collection of the High School for Mathematics - Physics at Roşiorii de Vede (today Anastasescu National College). There is limited information about the circumstances of discovery of these artifacts. They are important because they bring new elements into a broad landscape which, until recently, is otherwise poor in terms of finds dating to the second half of the first millennium AD.
