Some Observations on the Lost Functions of Children Games which Transported to Internet in the Context of Spatial Change

Summary/Abstract: At the XXI century, societies are spend cultural metamorphosis under a heavy responsibilities of high technologies which culture life is shaped by postmodernism. Postmodernist era, vital cases are changing time and space, beliefs, wars, loves, trade, visits, divisions, games, celebrations, politics and ext. Benefits of postmodernism is including all areas of life which has been involved in lives of almost every age until access culture to communication culture; travelling and entertainment culture to consumer culture; leisure culture to the culture of playing. In this respect, our study on functions are lost of children games under influence of postmodernism with when entering the era of cyber culture within the framework of spatial variation. As is known, game is one of the most basic needs filling the lives of children. Game is an important tool to communicate with children, shape and recognize them because of its informative and hilarious function. Children’s games which are the subject of our study change when the perception of time and spaces become different. These games which were played for centuries in the street, have recently moved from the open areas to the closed areas due to the necessities of these times and with the development of technology, children games are coming to power in the Internet. In this article, source of the games, history of the game and childhood will be researched, the contributions of the street games to children’s lives will be expressed and the negative effects of the games that have undergone changes throughout history in Turkey on child development in the frame work of space perception change will be discussed and at the end suggestions regarding the result of this change will be presented.
