Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article brings together the literary theory and the cultural studies as it concerns introduction of the Buddhist elements into literature. Chosen novels and short stories written by contemporary Russian writer Victor Pelevin are studied (paradoxically) in the light of the description of the indescribable phenomenon which is Enlightenment.
