Summary/Abstract: Affinity exists in every society all around the world in different forms as a traditional social organization system. Relationship by affinity determines the traditional social structure and the order of that society. With this form, it forms a specific ideology and inclusion- exclusion mechanism, and also it creates the social norms and values that determine the boundaries of people’s movement areas. In this system, both individuals and societies use affinity as a strategy and they try to reach some goals. This includes an extensive strategy that the group applies it for expanding its dominance area and for self- defense. This set is not formed only by formal affinities that depend on genealogical bonds, but also virtual affinities. In people mobility, which develops through migrations, the structures that depend on affinity system are brought away, and the migrating society forms the affinity ideology again in order to sustain its collective identity. With social change, the affinity becomes a structure that restricts the movement area of people especially that of people in affinity groups of open societies. The present study investigates the virtual affinity structure in Kurdish population that has been migrated or been forced to migrate to different parts of Turkey in different times. The virtual affinity structure which is called as xwihûbiratiya xewnê (dream fellowship), and which is applied by women in general, is strategically different from other virtual affinity structures that strengthen the group position. In dream fellowship the exact opposite situation exists. People use the affinity strategy to get rid of the tight and narrow affinity concept that is determined by certain norms and values, and to establish a social relationship with people other than their relatives.
