THE PARTICULARITIES OF MENTAL DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH GASTRO-INTESTINAL ULCER AND THEIR MEDICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL REHABILITATION IN A SANATORIUM

Summary/Abstract: The study included an assessment of the characteristics of personality and emotional sphere in patients diagnosed with peptic ulcer in gastro-intestinal tract. The present article analyses the psychosocial factors associated with neurotic disorders in patients who were examined. The results revealed isolated neurotic syndromes, as well as a high level of anxiety and depression. A system for medical and psychological rehabilitation of patients with digestive diseases is presented. The rehabilitation may be carried out in a sanatorium and implies the assessment of clinical, psychological and social components which contribute to the neurotic disorders, as well as an evaluation of effectiveness of rehabilitation measures.
