Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the extent to which Mariana Marinand Angela Marinescu, two of the greatest Romanian poets in the last half a century, can affiliated, as literary critics like Alexandru Cistelecan and Georgeta Moarcăs think, to the Romanian neo-expressionism. In order to do that, I felt not only the need to mention anddescribe (very briefly, of course) the role of some famous German Expressionist poetsGottfried Benn, Georg Heym and Georg Trakl among others) in developing what we knewtoday as the Expressionist vision, but also the necessity to “hear” some important Romanianvoices (Alexandru Muşina, Andrei Bodiu, Romulus Bucur).
