Summary/Abstract: In the settlement of Durutovci in the Vrbanja valley, at the locality Kovačica, in a destroyed layer, ceramic and lithic material was accidentally found, which the author attributes to the Butmir II Culture. Some of the ceramic fragments he attributes to the end of the phase Obre II, which is chronologically also connected with the phase Butmir II. Considering the conditions of the finding, nature of the material that is scarce and unrepresentative, the significance of this finding is in the occurrence of the Butmir Culture locality out of its primary area in the valley of the Bosna and its tributaries. It is supposed that migration could have started along the valley of the Vrbanja river, which springs near the river Bila in the Central Bosnia, and towards the north, but conclusions on the penetration intensity of the Butmir Culture bearers cannot be made on the basis of the given material. It is also supposed that this finding of the Butmir Culture classical phase will not be isolated.
