Summary/Abstract: The Catholic educator is a realist, in other words, someone who has a holistic understanding of a ward, their nature, possibilities and limitations. The specificity of a human being is consciousness, freedom and ability to love. These characteristics and qualities make the man similar to God. Consequently, the primary task of a Catholic educator is to help pupils to learn to think wisely, to decide responsibly and love in a mature way. The condition of Catholic education is to bring young people for Jesus, who as the only educator, fills everything he teaches. Therefore, the ultimate goal and test of Catholic education is holiness of pupils, thus it means that − on the model of Jesus – they become good and wise at the same time.
