Summary/Abstract: An overview of Andrej Mitrović’s work in the area of theory and methodology of history, his contribution to the methodology in the works of the so-called classic or “event history”, including his special papers dedicated to history as a science. Also, an overview of Andrej Mitrović’s contribution to the important topics in Serbian and world historiography (First World War, role of foreign capital and banks in Serbia, creation of Yugoslavia) is presented.
