Summary/Abstract: Folk Party during the Second Republic was actively engaged in the discussion of matters relating to the political system and the concept of local self-government. Main projects on the shape of the nascent local government were included in the programming documents of these groups. In the years 1919–1924, at the Sejm were debate on the draft of the act of local government. Until the May coup in the parliament were formed three projects of act, and forefront in the discussion on this topic were politicians of folk factions. After the events of May in 1926. Has undergone major changes in the political scene. On the side of Jozef Pilsudski opted some folk parties and leftist groups, and some of them remained in opposition. Remedial camp had made at this time vigorous action to tackle the situation in administration and local government. There has been a significant reduction in the competence of local government administration in favor of the government, and local authorities was assigned a supporting role to the government. Opposition activists, which were sit in local government bodies began to removed and replaced by supporters of remedial. Current events were reflected in the demands contained in the programming documents of peasant centrist parties and leftist parties
