Summary/Abstract: Antoni Danysz is remembered in history as a historian of upbringing. That is why we can find among his publications the one devoted to upbringing and education of Sigismund Augustus. It has a character of a historical-educational study distinguished by scientific exactitude. Thus, it is based on written sources. However, it should be emphasised that these source materials served as a basis for the author’s conclusions. The historian focused on negative aspects of the upbringing of the last Jagiellonian king. He enumerated mistakes in Sigismund Augustus’s upbringing and education.
