Summary/Abstract: The requirements referring to the effects of the didactic and educational work have been constantly increasing, and contents, methods as well as, the organization of education have been constantly changing. The characteristic of this profession is also the fast pace of de-actualization of knowledge acquired during the university years. Therefore, it is paid a lot of attention to both education and development of teachers. The necessity of the constant education is in this profession the basic obligation. It is associated with many tasks, which the teacher should realized. S/he is not only to support the process of young generation’s development, but also to be the leader in the range of many scientific disciplines and value systems. From the teacher, nowadays, it is required to deal with the changes, which have been still going on in the field of aims, contents, methods, and organization of education and upbringing. It is possible only thanks to the use of the organized forms of professional development and constant self development.
