Summary/Abstract: The concept of equivalence, which is a mathematical term, as a result of a linguistic approach took place in literature. Clarity or complexity of the relationship between the target text and source text are discussed through the equivalence concept. Equivalence which has been a matter of protecting the effects of the 1960s until today. In this regard, denotative equivalence, connotative equivalence, equivalence at word level, dynamic equivalence etc. various classifications are made with different terms. It has an important place in the discussion of equivalence problem. In this study review and study of the history about the equivalence problem was primarily mentioned The Armenian and Sanskrit texts were translated into Turkish, and is presented in the target language. In this way, it was seen that the original text taken from Armenian and Sanskrit language can be transferred into the target language by using different words and sentence structures from each other, which is the main source of the equivalence problem. In the final phase of our study,the equivalence of these two translated texts are evaluated by taking into account the mechanical structure of the language,vocabulary and socio-cultural variables.
