Summary/Abstract: In the days of the fall of education, Stanisław H. Lubomirski proclaimed the superiority of the natural intellect and reason over academic knowledge. This well-known and respected magnate and philosopher, was called by his contemporaries “Polish Solomon”. His views, in which one can see a clear trace of fascination with the Stoics, enjoyed great popularity until at least the middle of the eighteenth century.
