Summary/Abstract: A letter from Stefan Napierski to Kazimierz Wyka, which reveals the background of the notorious "Double Review" of Bruno Schulz. Napierski explicitly articulates his reaction to "The Sanatorium under the Sign of an Hourglass" and, responding to Wyka’s approach to the same text, concludes that “both reviews complement each other perfectly.” Moreover, the letter offers an insight into the financial conditions of the literary critics’ work.
