POTREBA DONOŠENJA MEĐUNARODNIH ARHIVSKIH STANDARDA ZA ARHIVSKE ZGRADE
NEED FOR ADOPTION OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS FOR ARCHIVAL BUILDINGS

Summary/Abstract: The adoption of standards for the construction and renovation of buildings of an archive represents an important impetus for the improvement of technical conditions for protection of archives in the world, both in developed areas as well as the environment in which this lags behind. On the basis of expert knowledge and experience confirmed, archival standards of archival buildings could be applied in almost all environments. Although this issue several times been the subject matter of the highest archival bodies, it still did not bring proper standards and norms that would regulate this area. The principles which I have here presented an attempt to take on archival standards for archival buildings and their adoption accede as soon as possible and to break away from making improper forum, and leave this to individual scientific disciplines that have already confirmed their findings, to ensure archival materials protection from deterioration and destruction.
