Summary/Abstract: The article is an analyze of the Italian policy towards the Roma and Sinti at national and local levels on the example of the capital - Rome. The policy of spatial isolation of the Roma in the so-called campi nomadi – the camps for groups of migratory policy which was used since 80-ties of 20th century has led to the institutionalization segregation policy. The culmination of the practice of discrimination against the Roma community in Italy has become the program Emergenza Nomadi started in 2008. At the time, which introduced anti-Roma procedures leading to the explicitand systematic human rights violations.
