Summary/Abstract: One of the greatest gifts that we have is ability to choose what will be remembered and preserved for future generations. A family who has preserved old family house has actually preserved its lineage from oblivion. From the ordinary family house, they made an institution - they made the museum. Every item in that house is an evidence of the past. Antiquities that we cherish are the guardians of our memories-they all together make our picture of the past. These antiquities become documents, give us information about the time when they were used. Preservation of the heritage society owes to itself. It is our obligation to our ancestors and the descendants. However, when we want to preserve something we have to keep in mind that we protect the value of the antiquities not just its material value. Once we have realized that, we’ll become protectors of our own history. Heritage preservation is the only way to stop time.
