Summary/Abstract: The paper refers to some aspects regarding the children mortality which could be inferred from a series of archaeological, anthropological and demographic data. The Monteoru Culture is one of the best investigated civilisations of the Romanian Bronze Age, whose range comprised especially the peri-Carpathian hills in the Eastern part of Muntenia and Middle and Southern part of Moldova, some sites located in the Southern plain area being documented just in the later phases of this civilisation (Motzoi-Chicideanu 2011, 369).
