Summary/Abstract: This article presents four Italian incunabula from the collection of the National Library of Romania, Batthyaneum Branch from Alba Iulia that belonged to the German poet Conrad Celtis. We reffer to Homer’s Opera, editio “primaria princeps et unica” during the incunabular period, not only the editions of the Greek poet’s creation, but also all the editions of the creation of each Grecian author printed after the appearance of the printing press; the ample encyclopedic dictionary of Grecian grammar, Cornucopiae written by the Italian Perotto Niccoló, also “editio unica”, printed in Latin; a lexigography work, Vocabularium of Papias, the Benedictin, that is in “editio secunda” and a philology work Satyrae of the Italian humanist Francesco Filelfo “editio primaria et longe rarissima” (see annex). They reflect the new climate set up in Europe after the appearance of the printing press, specially in Italy, whose typographers began to print texts that had never been printed before,“princeps” editions, scientific books, poetry books, evidences of the developments the Italian typography underwent, especially in its north, and in particular, they indicate the preference of the great humanist German poet Konrad Celtis for the works of Greek-Latin classicism or Italian humanists, for Greek poetry, in the beginning phase of teaching Greek at the university from Vienna.
