Summary/Abstract: In addition to positive effects in terms of economic and political integration, the unprecedented spread of modern technologies and the easy access to culture and civilization, globalization also has certain negative aspects. These consist mainly in facilitating the spread, the proliferation of cross-border networks and new transcontinental criminal activities even the most virulent, with destabilizing effects on both internal and international security and stability of states.
