The Potential of the Synthesis of Macro Photography and Experimental Music

Summary/Abstract: The synthesis of sounds and images, i.e. when images complement music, is often used in cinematography, theatre, photography, dance, fashion shows. In creative activity, sounds and images complement each other. Research on the potential of the fusion of sounds and images was carried out. An arts project where experimental music was combined with macro photography was developed to show the potential of such fusion. Descriptive and analytical research methods were used. It was hypothetically presumed that technology will be used for sound-image fusion in this experimental project. Such artworks created using digital technology are popular in Lithuania as well as abroad. The description of the project that draws on the fusion of macro photography and experimental music and the analysis of the potential of such fusion is provided in the paper.
