Summary/Abstract: Research objective: The main aim of the article is to describe a possibility of applying design thinking method in the Polish educational practice both in terms of entrepreneurship education as well as issues related to academic entrepreneurship addressed to students of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. The research problem and methods: The research problem focuses on the characteristics of design thinking as a method of creating entrepreneurial attitudes as well as its importance both for the potential entrepreneur and the customer. In addition, the article presents the possibilities and limitations of using this method in Polish academic and social settings. The main scientific method used in the study is the behavioral approach and the technique adequate to this method, namely a participant observation, which is overt, uncontrolled and time-limited, and lasts three months (Chodoubski, 2011). The process of argumentation: The article demonstrates the importance of the behavioral approach used in social sciences and the possibility of its implementation. In addition, it describes all five elements of the design thinking method together with their tools and targets and points at its limitations and weaknesses. The last section of the article analyses the possibility of using this method in Polish conditions. Research process : The result of the study and, to some extent, its conclusion, is the analysis of a possible application of this approach in the Polish cultural context and conditions. Another part of the analysis attempts to define the key aspects of the design thinking process in strengthening entrepreneurial attitudes, mainly with regard to the teaching of entrepreneurship in academic settings.
