Summary/Abstract: The knowledge of European Consumer Law is important, not only for companies (who, first of all, are required to perform their duties) but is a first thing knowledge for an average consumer. If a consumer knows what a law appertains to, they can effectively enforce it. Consumer Law issues are regulated not only at the national level but, first of all, at the European level. In the area of consumer legislation, Member States are required to implement through acts of law objectives denied by the European legislation. he EU directives are of primary importance in this respect. The normative basis for issuing directives is found in art. 288 TFEU 1.
