Summary/Abstract: Seeking to fill some gaps in territorial planning documents at least in part and temporarily an alternative and simplified social urban research method, to be used when selecting the most suitable location for auditorium space type venues in the city is provided in the paper. Drawing on different ideas about a location of architectural objects of cultural and public significance methodological location selection principles have been developed, Those principles could have been used in the open competition of 2012 to select a location for Kaunas Congress, Conference and Concert Hall.
