Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the journal “Historical future”. The author, director of the journal since its first publishing in the far 1997, looks back on the journey until the present day. She not only tells the story about how the project “Historical future” was born and got developed through the years, as well as what goals its creators have set, but also makes a sum-up of the results from this initiative to date.
