Summary/Abstract: The theory that I shall seek to elaborate here puts considerable emphasis on Foucault’s analytical differentiation between relations of power and states of domination, his reconceptualization of power relations with reference to clash, conflict, war and scheme, and his interpretation of the function of power relations in the creation of knowledge. The results of the current study converge with prior research on Foucault’s critical ontology of the present, his concept of the productive strength of relations of power, and the link between biopolitics and governmentality in his work.
