Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the dialectal characteristics in the manuscript of folk songs collected by Salih Mesic. Th e analysis showed that the existing characteristics can be divided into four dialectal bases that correspond to the fields of three dialects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with some of the existing characteristics pointing to areas outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina-Sandzak. It was also established that the most common features are the ones in easternbosnian dialect, precisely the features related to the Tešanj area.
